Unassuming as he was visually, I found Mr. A to be Ditko's most frightening character. Before there was the Punisher, before Nexus, before Rorschach started dropping people down elevator shafts on request, there was Mr. A.

Mr. A lived in a world free of gray. Everything was light or dark, there was no in-between. A person, thought or deed was good or it was evil and evil had no place in the world of Mr. A.
