I seem to have Halloween on the brain. I was thinking of famous comics monsters when my mind switched over to famous masks. I may be a dedicated Ditko man but, I can’t think of a cooler, more iconic, more significant mask in comics than that of Dr Doom. 

I remember, years ago, being backstage at a con and there was a Dr Doom mask sitting on a table. I have no idea where it came from or any info on its history or purpose. Yeah, it was plastic but, it was a pro job. Holding it, even with it’s light weight, was surreal, reminding me of the time I spent on Loch Ness or of being five years old, clutching my wuzzie, convinced that “they” were under the bed.
