This weeks Longbox of Mystery reveals Iron Man 159 by your’s truly. This was my first full length story for Marvel and the delightful Diablo my first crack at a Marvel villain. It was also my first rejection. Before I got a chance to do anything about it, the editor wound up in the hospital. This left his office in a bit of disarray and it wasn’t till the last moment they realized they had nothing to ship to the printer so, they pulled this out of the drawer, split it up between any stray inkers they caught hanging around, inked it over a weekend and off to the printer it went.
